Nigeria's Compendium Project to Boost Economy and Tourism

On Tuesday, during a meeting with a delegation from the Nigerian Press Council (NPC) led by its Executive Secretary Dr. Dili Ezughah, Information Minister Mohammed Idris praised the NPC for its compendium project.

This initiative aims to showcase Nigeria's vast economic and tourism potentials, providing a comprehensive document detailing opportunities across Nigeria's 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The official launch is scheduled for June 17, 2026, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Minister Idris emphasized the importance of this project in countering negative narratives about Nigeria, aligning it with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda, which focuses on diversifying the economy and promoting the non-oil sector. The compendium will serve as a credible resource for both local and international investors, detailing investment opportunities, tourism assets, and economic profiles of each state.

The project reflects the government's commitment to fostering partnerships for national development.
