Labour Party Urges Tinubu to Address Insecurity Crisis in Nigeria Amid Rising Attacks

The Labour Party (LP) has urged President Bola Tinubu to address the escalating insecurity in Nigeria, following a recent attack on a mosque in Katsina State. LP's interim national publicity secretary, Tony Akeni, criticized the lack of effective security measures despite significant budget allocations since 2016.

The party called on the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, to overhaul the security architecture to prevent further bloodshed. LP highlighted the need for a comprehensive crisis management strategy and emphasized the urgency of holding perpetrators accountable.

The statement also referenced the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia, urging swift action to safeguard Nigerian lives.
