Johnny Drille's Journey to Mavin Records: Staying True to Unique Sound

Johnny Drille, born John Ighodaro, reflects on his early career struggles to maintain his signature alternative style, which almost cost him record deals with major labels in Nigeria. He eventually joined Mavin Records after Don Jazzy, the CEO, appreciated his uniqueness and allowed him to stay true to his artistry.

Drille gained national attention after participating in Project Fame West Africa in 2013 and released his debut album "Before We Fall Asleep" in 2021.
