NIEEE Elevates 28 Engineers to Fellowship for Development

The Nigerian Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (NIEEE) elevated 28 engineers to its College of Fellows during the 22nd Fellowship Conferment Ceremony. President Engr. Felix Adegboye urged the new fellows to contribute significantly to Nigeria's technological advancement and economic development.
He highlighted the importance of electrical and electronic engineers in improving electricity supply, expanding renewable energy, and strengthening digital infrastructure. Adegboye stated that the recognition of fellowship comes with greater responsibility to advance the engineering profession and tackle the country's development challenges.
He also emphasized the institute's commitment to promoting grid resilience and collaboration with regulatory authorities, including the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN). The new fellows are expected to engage in policy formulation, research, and mentorship.
Engr. Isaac Adekanye, Chairman of the Board of Fellows, noted that attaining fellowship requires a commitment to societal development beyond individual achievements.
