PDP Confirms National Convention Amid Internal Conflicts

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) affirmed that internal conflicts would not hinder its upcoming national convention scheduled for November 2025. Despite recent disputes within the party, the national publicity secretary, Hon Debo Ologunagba, assured members that the convention would proceed as planned.

The party emphasized the need for unity and adherence to its constitution, which prohibits dual membership to maintain internal cohesion. The announcement came amidst tensions over the control of the party in Akwa Ibom, where conflicting decisions were made regarding the State Working Committee.
