Interswitch Launches UX Report on Nigeria's Financial Apps
Interswitch has announced the release of its latest industry report, "State of UX in Financial Apps: Nigeria Report 2025." This report provides a comprehensive, data-driven assessment of user experience (UX) across Nigeria's leading financial applications. It outlines practical insights to guide the evolution of digital banking and financial services, drawing on extensive user research conducted in 2025.
The report includes evaluations of leading financial apps through surveys and in-depth interviews with hundreds of Nigerian users. Key findings indicate that while core transactions perform well, significant usability challenges remain, particularly in bill payments and error handling.
Notably, 71% of surveyed Nigerians found help options within financial apps ineffective. Cherri Eromosele, Executive Vice President of Group Marketing Communications at Interswitch, emphasized that user experience is now a critical component of financial services, urging banks and fintechs to design services that genuinely understand and enhance user trust.
The report aims to contribute to the global conversation on user experience in digital financial services.
