Ashimolowo Urges Diaspora to Invest in Nigeria's Economy

During the inauguration of Treal Hotel Suites in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Matthew Ashimolowo, the senior pastor and founder of KICC, called on Nigerians abroad to invest in the nation's economy. He highlighted the growing trend of diaspora investment as a sign of renewed faith in Nigeria's economic future, despite concerns about the business environment.

Ashimolowo's remarks were supported by Tokunbo Talabi, the Ogun State government secretary, who represented Governor Dapo Abiodun. Talabi reiterated the government's commitment to maintaining an investor-friendly environment to attract local and diaspora capital.

Adebayo Fagbenro, a UK-based entrepreneur, emphasized the need to bridge gaps in Nigeria's hospitality standards and improve service delivery. Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, the paramount ruler of Egbaland, welcomed the development as a means to transform the socio-economic landscape of Abeokuta.

The project is valued in millions of naira and aims to enhance the local economy through increased private investment.
