Middle East Aviation Disrupted by Airspace Closures

The aviation industry in the Middle East is facing significant disruptions as airspace closures triggered by escalating tensions have led to the cancellation of approximately 2,500 daily flights. Airlines such as Qatar Airways and Saudia Airlines have temporarily suspended operations due to safety concerns.

Qatar Airways confirmed the suspension of flights from Doha, while Saudia Airlines canceled flights to multiple destinations including Amman, Kuwait, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Doha, Bahrain, Moscow, and Peshawar, effective until 23:59 UTC on March 2. Major airports, including Dubai International Airport and Hamad International Airport, have announced temporary suspensions and delays.

European carriers like Lufthansa, Air France, and British Airways have also canceled services to several Middle Eastern destinations. The situation has left thousands of passengers stranded and scrambling for alternative travel arrangements.

Airlines are working closely with relevant authorities to ensure passenger safety and will resume operations once airspace is reopened.
