Ireti Kingibe Accused of Misappropriating ₦100 Million Fund

Ireti Kingibe, associated with the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has been accused of pocketing a ₦100 million campaign fund designated for local government elections in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Omal Sule, the chairman of the ADC in the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), reported that the allegations emerged after the FCT chapter of the ADC sought legal intervention.

They approached the Federal High Court in Abuja to prevent Kingibe from presenting herself as a party member and addressing journalists. Sule emphasized that there was no money related to the ₦100 million allocated for the FCT local government elections.

The situation has raised significant concerns within the party regarding the management of campaign funds and accountability.
