Kwankwaso Denies Defection Rumors, Emphasizes Fairness

Former Kano State governor Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso denied rumors of defecting to the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC). Kwankwaso, in a statement through the New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP), refuted claims of submitting a letter of intent to join the APC, labeling the reports as false.

He emphasized that any official update on his political direction would be communicated through established channels. Kwankwaso stressed the importance of respecting the interests of his political movement, Kwankwasiyya, and warned against being used for electoral gains and then abandoned.

While open to political alliances, Kwankwaso highlighted the need for respect, fairness, and inclusion in any collaboration with the APC.
