Isbae U Transitions to Interview Host with Curiosity Show

Isbae U, whose real name is Adebayo Ridwan Abidemi, discussed his career transition during an appearance on The Morayo Show, hosted by Morayo Afolabi-Brown. He explained that he experimented with music and acting before deciding to host his interview show, Curiosity Made Me Ask, which he launched in December 2023.

Isbae U aimed to distinguish himself from the crowded skit-making space. The inspiration for his show came after watching Zach Galifianakis' interview series.

The show has featured numerous entertainers and public figures, including Pete Edochie, Jide Kosoko, Yemi Solade, Kate Henshaw, Teni, Bella Shmurda, Bisola Aiyeola, KieKie, Bobrisky, Tacha, and Charly Boy. Recently, former President Olusegun Obasanjo appeared on the show, discussing topics such as Aso Rock rent and Afrobeats producers.

Despite his hosting experience, Isbae U admitted to feeling nervous when interviewing older personalities, who have encouraged him to stay true to his style. He also expressed a desire to continue exploring other content formats and mentioned US President Donald Trump as a potential future interviewee.
