Israel Intercepts Iranian Missiles Amid Trump Address

On Thursday, Israel's military air defense intercepted a wave of Iranian missile fire, which occurred shortly after U.S. President Donald Trump delivered an address to the American public.

The initial attack resulted in at least four people being lightly wounded in the Tel Aviv area, with reports indicating damage across a wide area due to the explosion of U.S. cluster munitions mid-air. Following this, the Israeli military announced the identification of missile launches from Iran targeting Israeli territory, triggering air raid sirens across northern and central Israel.

Residents were later permitted to leave protected spaces. The missile fire earlier in the week had already wounded 14 people, including an 11-year-old girl, in northern Israel.

The air raid sirens were activated again on Thursday due to incoming attacks from Lebanon, where the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah, an ally of Iran, claimed responsibility for rocket fire targeting Israeli troops near the border.
