Asari Dokubo Denies Viral Criticism of Tinubu

Asari Dokubo, a Niger Delta activist, addressed a viral video featuring a man who bore a striking resemblance to him, criticizing President Bola Tinubu for the economic hardships facing Nigeria. The video, which circulated widely on social media, showed the man urging Tinubu to step down due to pervasive hunger and the rising cost of petrol and other items.

Many social media users mistakenly identified the man in the video as Dokubo, who is a known supporter of Tinubu. In response, Dokubo clarified that the individual in the video is his brother from Bayelsa State, not himself.

He emphasized that the man in the footage expressed sentiments of discontent towards Tinubu, which he does not share, reiterating his support for the president and stating that he should be allowed to complete his second term.
