Kwankwaso, Not Abba Yusuf, Elected Into Power - Legal Adviser Clarifies Statement

Magaji Mato, the legal adviser to former Kano State Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso, emphasized that it was Kwankwaso and not Abba Yusuf who was voted into power. Mato highlighted the guilt felt by Yusuf for his association with the Kwankwasiyya movement and defection to the APC.

He argued that anyone identifying with Kwankwasiyya should belong to the political party that opposes its ideology. Mato pointed out the challenge faced by individuals in separating themselves from the movement that brought them political prominence.

This clarification came amidst the conflicting political alignments of individuals associated with the red cap of the Kwankwasiyya movement.
