Keyamo Backs US Airstrike on ISIS in Sokoto State

Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Keyamo, has expressed support for the US Christmas Day airstrike on ISIS elements in Nigeria, highlighting the importance of international collaboration in combating terrorism. The airstrike, approved by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, successfully targeted two major ISIS enclaves within the Bauni Forest in Sokoto State.

The operation, conducted in close coordination with the US government, aimed to eliminate foreign ISIS elements planning large-scale attacks in Nigeria. The strike, carried out on December 26, 2025, received explicit presidential approval and involved the full participation of the Nigerian Armed Forces.
