Tinubu Denies Christian Persecution Claims in Nigeria as False

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu dismissed claims of Christian persecution in Nigeria as a lie during the inauguration of a development project in Imo State. Tinubu rejected the narrative of religious targeting in the country, emphasizing unity between Muslims and Christians.

This response came after American comedian Bill Maher alleged systematic Christian persecution in Nigeria, citing instances of violence against Christians. Tinubu labeled these claims as false, stating that religious persecution in Nigeria is a fabrication.

The remarks were made during the launch of a book by Governor Hope Uzodimma in Imo State.
