Osun Governor Approves Iwo-Osogbo Road Reconstruction Amid Public Pressure

The Osun State Government clarified that Governor Ademola Adeleke approved the reconstruction of the Iwo-Osogbo road back in January 2025, dismissing reports of recent approval due to public pressure. The government stated that the procurement process for the project has been ongoing for almost three months and is nearing conclusion.

The statement came in response to calls from civil society organizations for urgent road rehabilitation. The government revealed that the contractor for the project has been issued a letter of award and is set to commence work following mobilization.
