Funke Akindele, a renowned Nollywood actress, expressed her support for Kamo State's debut cinema movie, Starlomo, following her absence from its Lagos premiere on September 20, which led to speculation about a rift between them. Akindele congratulated Kamo and filmmaker Kayode Kasum on social media, encouraging her followers to watch the film, which was released nationwide on September 23.

Kamo State, a popular Nigerian content creator and actor, thanked Akindele for her support, addressing the rumors by stating that her absence was due to being out of the country and that they remain on good terms. Kamo, who considers Akindele a mentor, described their relationship as a divine blessing and a significant turning point in his career.

His film, Starlomo, marks his first venture into cinema after starting his career as a skit maker.
