JAMB Extends 2025 Admission Deadline for Nigerian Public Universities

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has extended the 2025 admission deadline for public universities in Nigeria to November 17, 2025. This decision was made to accommodate emergent circumstances affecting the admission process, including the need for additional time to implement new accreditations and developments.

The extension aims to ensure fairness and inclusivity across institutions. The move was also influenced by a court order directing the status quo to remain until the 2025/2026 admission list is lifted.

The Nigerian Universities Commission (NUC) recently released a list of 229 accredited programs across 37 universities. President Bola Tinubu's administration is hopeful for expanded access and renewed hope in the education sector.
