Jide Kosoko Chosen as Oloja of Lagos Elect, Succeeding Late Adebola IG

Jide Kosoko, a renowned Nollywood actor, has been chosen as the Oloja of Lagos Elect, succeeding the late Adebola IG who passed away in December 2017. The announcement was made at King Kosoko Palace on Lagos Island, where the royal family gathered to formally unveil him.

Mutiat Ali Balogun and Oyindamola Ayepola were part of the traditional process, with Akinsanya Olojo Kosoko being selected after a committee screened eligible princes. Kosoko, known for his acting career since the 1960s, is set to be formally installed as the Oloja of Lagos in a traditional ceremony expected to be presided over by Oba of Lagos, Rilwanu Akiolu.
