Joke Silva Reflects on Meeting Olu Jacobs in Old Interview

Veteran actress Joke Silva recounted her initial meeting with her late husband, Olu Jacobs, during an old interview on TVC’s Your View. Silva revealed that she met Jacobs on a movie set, where everyone seemed to know he was coming except her.

Although Jacobs was immediately attracted to her, Silva did not reciprocate those feelings initially. She later learned that Jacobs was significantly older than she had assumed due to his youthful appearance.

The couple married in 1985, with Silva being 24 years old and Jacobs 44. Their marriage lasted for decades and produced two children, establishing their relationship as one of Nollywood’s most celebrated unions.

On September 16, Silva's family confirmed Jacobs' passing, and she had previously celebrated his birthday on social media, expressing gratitude for their journey together.
