Goodluck Jonathan Advocates for Democratic Reform in Africa

Former Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan emphasized the importance of holding leaders accountable for their performance through elections. Jonathan, speaking at the Goodluck Jonathan Foundation Democracy Dialogue in Ghana, highlighted the need for democratic reform in Africa to prevent electoral manipulation and authoritarianism.

He, alongside former President Olusegun Obasanjo and President John Dramani Mahama, called for stakeholder collaboration to strengthen democracy on the continent. Jonathan warned that failure to reform democracy could lead to authoritarian rule and jeopardize the future of African nations.
