Joshua vs Fury Fight Faces Venue Dispute Ahead of November

The heavyweight boxing match between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury is encountering obstacles as promoter Frank Warren acknowledges potential postponement unless both camps agree on a venue. Initially, Wembley Stadium was favored, but Madison Square Garden in New York has emerged as a contender due to its potential for a broader global audience, backed by Saudi boxing chief Turki Alalshikh.

Eddie Hearn, Joshua's promoter, stated that the fight would be called off if New York is announced as the venue without prior agreement, emphasizing their commitment to a UK location per their contract. Warren countered that Fury's contractual terms differ and remains confident the fight will occur as planned in November.

He noted that Fury signed for the bout in January, which was initially scheduled for September but delayed due to Joshua's personal tragedy. Both fighters have recently participated in tune-up fights, with Fury defeating Mariusz Wach and Joshua overcoming Kristian Prenga.

The disagreement over the venue continues to threaten the fight's realization.
