Canada Deports Over 300 Nigerians in Major Immigration Crackdown

Canada has deported 366 Nigerians as part of a significant immigration enforcement drive in 2025, with Nigeria ranking ninth among the top 10 nations removed from Canada. The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) revealed that 974 Nigerians are currently on the list for removal.

The deportations have increased by eight percent compared to 2019, with most deportees failing refugee claims. Nigeria is among the African countries featured in Canada's top 10 nations for deportations in 2025, alongside countries like Mexico, India, and Haiti.
