Safiya Ali Rufai, Sister-in-Law of El-Rufai, Passes Away

Safiya Ali Rufai, the sister-in-law of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, has died following a brief illness. The announcement of her passing was made on social media, where it was noted that she died on a Sallah day.

El-Rufai, who is currently in detention by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), expressed his grief, stating that she was a woman of discipline and compassion. He described her as an ardent disciplinarian and implored the general public to pray for her soul, wishing for her elevation to the highest level of paradise.

Safiya was married to the late Air Vice Marshal Ali Rufai, who was El-Rufai's elder brother. Her death is a significant loss to her family, and she will be dearly missed.
