FG Completes Evacuation of Nigerians from South Africa

The Federal Government of Nigeria has successfully completed the evacuation of Nigerians from South Africa, with the final batch arriving at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos on Wednesday. This operation was initiated due to increasing concerns over xenophobic attacks and tensions involving Nigerians living in South Africa.

The evacuation effort included four flights that brought back hundreds of Nigerians, ensuring their safety amid reports of incidents targeting them. The final flight touched down at 11:28 AM, marking the conclusion of this government-led evacuation exercise aimed at protecting its citizens abroad.
