Tinubu Assures Nigerians on Third Anniversary of Leadership

On the third anniversary of his administration, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu issued a message to Nigerians, expressing his belief in their resilience and assuring them that their economic sacrifices would not be in vain. He acknowledged the severe hardships faced by families and businesses due to significant economic pressures.

Tinubu pointed to key measures implemented to stabilize the economy, including the removal of petrol subsidies and the floating of the naira. He emphasized the necessity of these tough decisions to prevent fiscal collapse and to facilitate recovery.

The President noted positive signs of recovery, such as a booming stock market and the construction of 2,700 kilometers of highways. He also mentioned substantial investments in the oil and gas sector and social interventions, including the disbursement of 282 billion naira to support 1.5 million students through the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND).
