ISWAP Terrorists Ambush Military Convoy, Kidnap General in Nigeria

ISWAP terrorists ambushed a Nigerian military convoy in northeastern Nigeria, killing soldiers, members of the civilian joint task force, and reportedly kidnapping a general. This incident marks the first successful capture of a senior military officer by the extremist group in Nigeria.

Senator Ali Ndume from Borno South condemned the attack, highlighting the escalating wave of terrorist activities in the region. The attack also involved the recent murder of four farmers by Boko Haram near Kwam village in Askira Uba local government area.
