Kwankwasiyya Leader Danfulani Joins APC, Cites Dissatisfaction with Kwankwaso

Alhaji Amadu Danfulani, a leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement in Kano State, defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) along with thousands of supporters. Danfulani cited dissatisfaction with the leadership style of Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso as the reason for his defection.

The ceremony announcing his move was held at the APC state headquarters, where he was warmly welcomed by party officials. Danfulani's defection was significant as he was considered a key figure in the Gobirawa Ward, known for its strategic political influence in Kano State.

The APC reiterated its openness to new members from opposition parties who comply with party rules.
