Niger Governor Seeks Recruitment of 25,000 Youths to Fight Insecurity

Niger State Governor Moham Umaru Bago has proposed the recruitment of 25,000 youths to create a forward operating base in the state to block the entrance of miscreants from neighboring states. The suggestion was made during a visit by the Theatre Command of the Joint Task Force North West.

The governor emphasized the need for the base, especially in areas like Mailaka, Kureg, and Mariga. The recruited youths would serve as soldiers to help fight insecurity in the state.
