Nigerian Police Arrest Activist Sowore in Court for Leading Protest in Support of Kanu

The Nigerian Police arrested activist Omoyele Sowore in court for leading a protest in support of detained leader Nnamdi Kanu. The police spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, clarified that Sowore's detention did not exceed legal time limits and he would be arraigned in court promptly.

The arrest was made to ensure justice is applied equally to all involved in the protest. Sowore's arrest came shortly after a meeting with Nnamdi Kanu during his ongoing trial.
