Presidency Denies Poison Plot Against President Tinubu

The Presidency has responded to viral claims regarding an alleged plot to poison President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at Aso Rock. Reports circulated on social media suggested that a member of the presidential kitchen staff was arrested due to suspicions of a poisoning attempt.

In response, a special police squad intervened based on intelligence reports indicating suspicious activities related to food preparation within the restricted area of the Presidential Villa. However, Bayo Onanuga, the special adviser to the President, strongly refuted these claims, stating that no kitchen staff had been arrested and urging the public to ignore the misinformation.

He emphasized that there was no security breach at the Villa and warned against the dangers of spreading unverifiable information that could incite panic. Security agencies have not confirmed any arrests linked to the alleged plot, and the President continues to fulfill his official duties without disruption.
