Special Adviser to the President on Policy and Communication, Daniel Bwala, revealed the meeting's purpose to enhance counterterrorism efforts and clarify the nature of terrorist attacks in Nigeria. US lawmakers, including Congressman Riley Moore and House Appropriations Committee Chairman Tom Cole, are investigating the alleged persecution of Christians in Nigeria.

Trump's remarks have raised concerns about potential aid suspension or military action if the Nigerian government fails to address the issue.
