Resident Doctors Threaten Nationwide Strike Over Unresolved Demands

The Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) has issued a fresh ultimatum to the Federal Government, threatening a nationwide strike if outstanding demands are not met. The ultimatum follows a virtual meeting of the association's National Executive Council, where it was decided to demand payment of arrears, salary reviews, and allowances.

NARD insists on urgent action, including the resolution of issues in Kaduna State and LAUTECH Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso. The doctors are also calling for the recognition of their qualifications and the implementation of the 2024 Consolidated Medical Salary Structure.
