NAF Airstrike Kills Boko Haram Fighters in Borno

On April 1, at 12:05 PM, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) conducted a successful airstrike on a Boko Haram terrorist camp located in Kangarwa, Northern Tumbun area of Borno. The operation was executed following credible intelligence indicating terrorist activities in the area, confirmed by reconnaissance missions that identified the presence and movement of fighters within the enclave.

The airstrike targeted and destroyed key structures, including a logistics hub, significantly degrading the operational capabilities of the terrorists. NAF spokesperson, Air Commodore Ejodam, stated that the strike dealt a major blow to the fighters linked to the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), disrupting their movements and creating favorable conditions for ground troop advances in ongoing clearance operations.

The operation demonstrated the growing coordination between air and ground forces in the counter-insurgency campaign against Boko Haram and ISWAP.
