U.S. Military Launches Strikes Against Iranian Targets

The U.S. Military executed fresh strikes in Iran, specifically targeting a military facility that included an Iranian ground control station in Bandar Abba, which was preparing to launch a fifth drone attack.

This operation took place near the Strait of Hormuz and involved the interception of four Iranian drones. U.S. officials, speaking anonymously, indicated that these strikes were defensive measures aimed at maintaining a fragile ceasefire amid ongoing negotiations to resolve a conflict that began on February 28 and has resulted in thousands of casualties, driving global energy prices higher.

Concurrently, U.S. President Donald Trump dismissed claims from Iranian state media that Iran and Oman were jointly overseeing shipping in the Strait of Hormuz as part of a peace agreement, asserting that the waterway remains open.

Earlier on the same day, U.S. military operations reportedly targeted vessels suspected of laying mines and missile launch sites that posed threats to American forces.
