Nigerian Senate Informs Natasha Akpoti of Continued Suspension

The National Assembly (NASS) has informed suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti from Kogi Central that she cannot resume legislative duties while her suspension remains in effect. The suspension, which began on March 6, 2025, is still under judicial review following a ruling by the Federal High Court in Abuja.

The NASS clarified that the suspension will continue until the legal process is concluded, and any decision on her return to the Senate will be made accordingly. Senator Akpoti was suspended due to alleged misconduct, and the matter remains sub judice.
