BTS Draws Over 100,000 Fans for Seoul Comeback Concert

K-pop group BTS performed a highly anticipated comeback concert in Seoul, drawing an estimated 104,000 fans to Gwanghwamun Square on Saturday. This event marked their first concert in nearly four years, following a mandatory military service hiatus.

The concert was held against the historic backdrop of Gyeongbokgung Palace, with fans from South Korea and abroad singing along to the group's hits. Initial projections estimated attendance at 260,000, but police reported a crowd size of 42,000.

The concert was livestreamed by Netflix in 190 countries. BTS's latest album, "Arirang," was released on Friday, with nearly four million copies sold on its first day.

Following the concert, BTS will embark on the "Arirang World Tour," starting on April 9, 2024, in Goyang, South Korea, spanning 82 concerts across 34 cities until 2026-2027. Tickets for the tour sold out quickly in South Korea, North America, and Europe.
