Kaduna North and South Unite for APC Ahead of 2027 Elections

Shehu Sani, a former senator representing Kaduna Central, stated that Kaduna North and South are united under the All Progressives Congress (APC) in preparation for the 2027 elections. This marks a significant shift in the state's political landscape, where historically, the Muslim-majority North voted for parties like the APP, CPC, and APC, while the predominantly Christian South supported the PDP.

Sani made these remarks during an address at the State House in Abuja, where he met with Speaker Abba Tajudeen and Senator Sundai Marshal. He emphasized that the unity achieved in the last two and a half years is due to federal interventions in health, education, and infrastructure, which have fostered inclusivity in governance.

Uba Sani, the governor, and President Bola Tinubu have been credited with revitalizing Kaduna State. The APC is confident of a landslide victory in 2027, as indicated by recent defections from the PDP to the APC, including Senator Sundai Marshal.
