Kaduna Road Project Boosts Tomato Farmers' Access

The newly constructed Gadan Gayan Gwaraji Kujama road in Kaduna has transformed the agricultural landscape for tomato farmers in Kajuru. Previously, farmers faced a challenging two-hour journey to reach markets due to deteriorating road conditions.

With the new road, travel time has been reduced to approximately forty minutes, allowing farmers to transport their produce more efficiently. This infrastructure project is part of a broader strategy under Governor Uba Sani, who assumed office on May 29, 2023, to address significant development and security challenges in the state.

The road construction is seen as a vital step in reconnecting rural communities to commercial centers, thereby enhancing access to education, healthcare, and private investment. The initiative aims to bridge the gap between urban and rural areas, improve the quality of life, and stimulate economic growth by facilitating trade and reducing poverty.
