Kano Censorship Board Suspends Two Kannywood Actors

The Kano State Censorship Board has suspended Kannywood actors Amina Uba and Hassan Adam for one year following the circulation of a controversial video deemed contrary to the moral and cultural values of the state. The announcement was made by spokesperson Abdullahi Sani Sulaiman in a statement issued on Sunday.

The suspension prohibits both actors from participating in any film-related activities within Kano State during this period. The board, led by chairman Abba El Mustapha, emphasized that any violation of this suspension could attract severe penalties under the law.

He also called on members of the Kannywood industry to avoid actions that could damage the reputation and undermine the integrity of the film industry. The board's directive serves as a warning to producers and directors to fully comply with the suspension order.
