Kano Deputy Governor Aminu Abdussalam Resigns for Stability

Aminu Abdussalam, the Deputy Governor of Kano State, has tendered his resignation, as announced by spokesperson Ahmad Sorondinki. In his statement, Abdussalam emphasized that the decision, though difficult, was made in the overall interest of the people and to ensure the stability of governance in Kano State.

He clarified that his resignation does not imply any admission of wrongdoing or allegations against the Kano State House of Assembly, maintaining his innocence and commitment to public service. Abdussalam expressed his desire to dedicate his time and energy to the Kwankwasiyya Movement, particularly in strengthening its structure and rebuilding strategies to engage critics and realign ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He urged the people of Kano State to remain calm, law-abiding, and supportive of the ideals of good governance and democracy.
