Kano Governor Urges Removal of Police Commissioner for Undermining Authorities

Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has called for the removal of Police Commissioner Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, accusing him of undermining the state's authorities. Governor Yusuf made the demand during an event commemorating Nigeria's 65th Independence Anniversary, where he expressed displeasure over the commissioner's alleged defiance of lawful orders.

The governor criticized CP Bakori for withdrawing security personnel from a ceremony despite clear instructions, deeming his actions unprofessional and unethical. Governor Yusuf emphasized that the commissioner's behavior is unacceptable and poses challenges to the state's security coordination.

He urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to remove CP Bakori from his position.
