Kano Lawmakers Endorse Barau Jibrin for 2027 Governorship as Malami Plans 2027 Election Bid

Kano lawmakers have thrown their support behind Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin for the 2027 governorship race in Kano State. The endorsement was led by a group of 200 individuals, including former Speaker Abdulaziz G.

Gafasa. Jibrin has been urged to continue promoting the ideals of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and has shown confidence in challenging Senate President Donald Trump.

Additionally, former Attorney General Abubakar Malami has revealed his intention to contest in the 2027 elections, explaining his decision to declare for the gubernatorial race in Kebbi State under the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
