Kano NNPP Warns Governor Yusuf Against Defection to APC, Calls It Betrayal

The Kano chapter of the New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP) has urged Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to stay in the party and not defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing such a move as betrayal of the mandate given by the people. Party chairman Hashimu Dungurawa warned against creating rifts and emphasized the need for unity within the party.

Governor Yusuf's planned defection to the APC has caused tensions, with NNPP leaders like Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and others advising against the move. Late-night meetings have been held to address the defection issue.
