Osimhen Returns for Galatasaray's Clash with Barcelona
Victor Osimhen is back in contention for Galatasaray ahead of their Champions League fixture against Barcelona, with assistant coach Ismael Garcia Gomez confirming his full recovery from injury. Osimhen had been sidelined since Galatasaray's 3-2 victory over Istanbul Basaksehir, missing several matches before returning to contribute an assist off the bench.
His return is crucial as he has scored 13 goals in 17 appearances in European competitions for Galatasaray, highlighting his importance at this level. Notably, Osimhen achieved the record of scoring in eight consecutive UEFA matches for the club, a feat unmatched in Galatasaray's history.
Last season, he played a pivotal role in helping Galatasaray reach the knockout rounds of the Champions League, finishing with six goals in the group and qualifying stages. His availability provides Galatasaray with a significant boost as they prepare to face Barcelona, a match that demands their best performance.
