Kidnapped Niger School Children Rescued and Reunited with Families

A total of 230 individuals, including 12 staff members, 14 students, and 204 pupils, who were abducted from St. Mari's Catholic School in Papiri, Niger, have been rescued and reunited with their families.

The children were initially reported missing on November 21, with a subsequent joint verification exercise reducing the number of unaccounted persons to 265. Rev Bulu Yohanna expressed gratitude for the government and security agencies' intervention and support during the challenging situation.
