Kogi State Declares State of Emergency on Insecurity, Unveils Comprehensive Security Plan

Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo, has declared a state of emergency on insecurity, announcing initiatives to tackle criminal elements such as insurgents, bandits, and kidnappers. The government has introduced a three-day training program to boost infrastructure development aligned with a 32-year development plan.

Measures include deploying 1,050 hunters equipped with security gear, establishing operational bases, and enhancing security agencies' capabilities. The state aims to eliminate ghost workers, enhance governance transparency, and invest in building a secure future for Kogi.
