Former presidential candidate Senator Rabi'u Musa Kwankwaso has urged the Kano State Police Command to immediately withdraw security officers stationed at Nasarawa Palace, where the 15th Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero, is residing. This call comes amidst the ongoing controversy surrounding the Kano emirship succession, with accusations of keeping Emir Aminu Ado Bayero at the palace, described as a cemetery.

The tussle began during the tenure of Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II and escalated with the removal and reinstatement of Emir Aminu Ado Bayero by Abba Kabir Yusuf.
