Kwara Politics: AbdulRazaq Endorses Seriki Amid Rivalry

In Kwara State, the political dynamics are evolving as Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq publicly endorses Ambassador Yahaya Seriki for the Kwara Central senatorial district, suggesting a preference for a non-Yoruba candidate from Kwara North. The APC's national leadership insists on direct primaries, complicating the situation as Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Salihu Yakubu Danladi, defeats other aspirants, including those backed by the Ilorin Emir. In response, the PDP, under the leadership of former Senate President Bukola Saraki, quickly unifies its ranks to support Sulaiman Bolakale Kawu Agaka as its consensus candidate.
